V. Unfinished business/Updates
a) Negotiations/Budget

Reserve is over 10% because of COVID Relief Fund

A large portion has to be spent by December 31, 2020

ALC and TLC classes start in small groups in-person on Monday, Sept 21

MAP testing-concerns that teacher is having to stay on the entire time while testing and concerns about the validity of the test and loss of instruction time

a) Distance Learning Update/Equipment/Network Issues

Fred will send out a brief survey asking about technology and spending
b) Preparation Time/Extra Work/Attendance Procedures

Attendance logging is unclear; need better training for programs and attendance
c) Membership Outreach

District will not be ready to return to teach district learning from sites
f) School Board Candidate Endorsement Committee Recommendations/Prop 15

4 seats available on school board-that’s the majority

12 candidates running, 10 that were interviewed by PRPE committee

After interviews, 4 recommendations for us to endorse

Money from our PAC will be offered to help support our 4 endorsements

Prop 15 split roll property tax, residential properties are exempt and so are properties under $3 million, business property taxes will be reassessed
