Your PRPE Negotiations Team met with the District Representatives Ruben Canales and Steve Campbell, along with Roman Munoz, an attorney from the Law Corporation of Kronick, Moskovitz, Tiedemann, and Girard.

The topics of discussion were:

□       Contract language

□       Evaluations

□       Special Education

□       Transfers and Reassignments

□       Stipends

□       Longevity Increases for Administration

□       Health Benefits Changes

We learned the new Health Benefits Caps applied to premiums are as follows:

□       CSEA - $9950

□       Management (a new category) - $9622

□       Certificated - $9392

The application of these caps creates the out-of-pocket deductions for employees starting Sept. 30, 2011. Refer to the PRPE website to see what the monthly deductions will be. (Certificated Health Benefit Selection Form)

We will continue discussions on all of the above topics at two future negotiations dates scheduled for Sept. 23 and Sept. 29.
